The Lunar New Year — also sometimes referred to as Chinese New Year — is the beginning of a new year based on the lunar calendar. It's celebrated by millions of people all over the world, but most notably by many East Asian and Southeast Asian cultures.
This year, the Lunar New Year falls on Saturday, February 10 and the Chicagoland area is packed with events to celebrate the Year of the Dragon. Wherever you are in the city or the surrounding suburbs, make sure to stop by one of these events for an unforgettable cultural experience.
